The first three shows in the series, A(partment 8), June 2016, B(arbershop) November 2016, and C(ovell), March 2017, have received rave reviews from LA Weekly, Stage Raw, LAist, Thrillist, and many others. Annie's interactive theater piece Getting to Know You: An Experiemnt in Intimacy premiered in June 2015 at the Hollywood Fringe Festival where it won the Freshman Spirit of the Fringe Award, and was called by KCRW, "An inspired combination of speed dating and relationship time travel." The piece allows 8 audience members to experience 8 mini moments with different characters at progressive points in various relationships.
The following two plays are searching for a Theater to call home for their world premiers.
~The Price of Milk (A Soggy Symphony or Composted Comedy): A play about a man who plummets into insanity over the rising price of milk. Dark and heartfelt, it is amazing the honesty with which Annie captures the emotions of a middle aged man being such a young woman. Goldberg Playwrights Prize finalist 2012.
~The Forest: A play which explores the human need to self destruct. Four teenagers go camping in the Aokigahara Forest, at the bottom of mount Fuji. While haunted by the ghosts of people that have committed suicide, the teenagers each realize there is something about themselves that is drawn to death. A haunting and original tale, reminiscent of classical Japanese theater and folklore. Read at the Tisch Festival of New Works 2011.
